Wired for sound

Over the last 10 years, we all replaced our old bulky TV sets - the ones that took up half of the living room - with flash new flat screen models that provide the latest and greatest picture quality. Some have screens so big they can be viewed from kilometres away and even curve to make you feel more deeply immersed in Coronation Street. However, no-one ever mentioned the poor sound quality you get with these very flat TVs.

Sound quality is poor because there is no longer any physical depth to the TV, the speakers that are built-in are now made smaller and flatter to match the thinner and ever thinner screens. Consequently you are left with a tinny and sometimes hollow sound that distorts as the TV volume increases.

So what's the solution?

Your route to getting great sound from your TV is to let the TV focus on what it was designed to do - provide you with a fantastic picture. You let something else handle the audio.

There are a number of solutions out there to fit all budgets and all room types. These range from the economical Hi-Fi style speakers, through to sound bars and home theatre systems, both wired and wire free.

If you’re experiencing poor audio from your TV, get in touch and we can put together a solution that’s right for your home and your budget.
